Romney Marsh Benefice

A message from the Team Rector

Welcome to our web site. We are 14 Church of England churches set across the Romney Marsh in Kent. You can find here details of each of the churches, together with a little history. The calendar shows all the services and events that take place, and the latest news will be posted here on the home page.

Our purpose is to grow together as Christian communities, to seek to live by the teaching of Jesus Christ and to tell others of His love for them.

With a total of 14 churches, ministry is very much a team effort. The clergy, trained lay leaders, church officers and congregations all play a part in the work of the church and any of them will be happy to talk to you about our churches. The clergy are also available to anyone who wishes to get in touch.

We hope to welcome you soon to one of our churches and events.

Rev'd Chris Hodgkins

Navigating our website

Each of the churches has a section in the web site telling you about the services, a little history, the officers of the church and its location. These are located in the drop down menu 'our churches'. Additional information from each church will appear as notified to the web manager.

Take a look at the 'Calendar'. You may be surprised at how much goes on in our 14 churches.

The 'About us' menu tells you lots more about the benefice and its work.

Staff

Two of our regular service takers, Rev'd Jacky Darling and Rev'd Canon Sheila McLachlan, are on temporary leave. This may mean changes to our service patterns. Please check the calendar for up to date information. Our two full time staff are Rev'd Chris Hodgkins and Rev'd Jack Greenhalf.
