The Romney Marsh Benefice

Romney Marsh is one of the last unspoiled areas of south‐east England. The eight parishes, which presently comprise the Romney Benefice, are mainly rural in nature but also include the more heavily populated coastal fringe areas of New Romney (the largest settlement on the marsh), St Mary's Bay and Dymchurch.

The Romney Benefice is part of the Deanery of Romney and Tenterden
and within the Canterbury Diocese of the Church of England.

OUR BENEFICE VISION

A Christian Community which is welcoming and witnesses to the boundless love of God; which worships and celebrates His sacraments with reverence and joy; which is equipped to meet the challenges placed upon it by the world and ready to respond to need; which values its wealth of history and tradition, but is able to exist within the culture of today and respond creatively to it.
